Reception Song Suggestions

DJ’s freak us out. We’ve talked to a few of them, and they’re all the same. They wear all black and sweat a lot. They act all smarmy. Worst of all, they always come off as cheesy.

Actually, the worst part is that they’re not cheap. Why would we pay hundreds of dollars to do what iTunes can do?

That’s where we need your help. A Google search produces a lot of wedding song list suggestions … but we’d like to customize ours to guests (for a “customer focused” wedding). A laptop and speakers will do the job, but we need your input as to what that will sound like. We will need around 5 hours worth of music, just to make sure we have enough.

So … what music would you like to hear?

Lady by Styx & Kenny Rogers played simultaneously, as a canvas screen on the largest wall in the room plays a constant loop of the scene in Legend where the Unicorn gets it’s horn chopped off. It’s more of a whole presentation, and while some people may not understand why it’s so amazing, it’s one of those things you have to see to believe.

In my personal opinion, I’ve compiled a list of acceptable songs by Ween to narrow your search, considering you’ve had a limit placed on the number of playable songs. I’ve only picked songs that I would listen to in front of my mother.

It’s Gonna Be A Long Night
    Pretty Girl
    Exactly Where I’m At
    She’s Your Baby
    Voodoo Lady
I Got To Put The Hammer Down
    With My Own Bare Hands
    Tastes Good On The Bun
    Sweetheart
Poop Ship Destroyer (This one is for Ryan & Ed)
    The H.I.V. Song
    Spinal Meningitis (Got Ryan Down)
    I Fell In Love Today
    Someday
    Stay Forever
    Tried & True
    I’m Holding You

Then there is always Lean Baby by Frank Sinatra.
