Green Pastures has some great menu options. Although what we have will likely differ from the restaurant’s normal dinner menu, you can get a good idea of what to expect.

The wedding cake is also being prepared by the restaurant. Our wedding coordinator told us the head chef did a cake exhibition with the Ace of Cakes guy live at Barton Creek Mall. I think they did a guitar cake. I’ve never seen the show, but I’m sure we’re all very impressed.

Green Pastures will be supplying beer and wine that we’ve paid for, up to a pre-determined level. If we should reach that level sooner in the evening than expected, we of course have the option to set a new level. Our other option will be to open a cash bar at this point. We’ll decide at the time, but no worries … prices at the cash bar are about what you’ll find anywhere nearby. Along those lines, the Austin downtown bar scene is only a short cab ride north.
